Reason for this visit

The international forex market in Hong Kong has been developing since the 1970s. The forex market has become more and more active, developing into an international forex market. Hong Kong forex market is an invisible market without a fixed trading venue. Traders conduct forex transactions through various modern communication facilities and computer networks. Hong Kongs geographical location and time zone conditions are similar to those of Singapore, making it very convenient to trade with other international forex markets. Participants in Hong Kong forex market are mainly commercial banks and financial companies. There are three types of forex brokers in this market: local brokers, whose business is limited to Hong Kong; international brokers who have expanded their business to the Hong Kong forex market since the 1970s; international brokers that grow locally and has expanded their business to forex markets abroad. In an attempt to help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of current status of forex brokers in Hong Kong, WikiFX survey team determines to pay on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to Hong Kong, China to visit forex broker topworldbullion as planned according to its regulatory address that Room 3103-06, 31/F, Trendy Centre, 682 Castle Peak Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Based on publicly available information, the field survey was conducted at Trendy Centre, 682 Castle Peak Road, Kowloon. The target building is located in Cheung Sha Wan's core industrial and business district, which is densely populated with a vibrant commercial atmosphere. Additionally, the bustling area boasts convenient transportation, hosting a diverse mix of restaurants, retail outlets, educational institutions, and residential buildings.

Subsequently, the field investigators successfully accessed the ground floor lobby of the building and located the directory board. However, upon thorough inspection, the directory displayed no company name listed for Unit 03-06 on the 31st floor, with no mention of “topworldbullion.” They then proceeded to the 31st floor for further verification.

Upon arrival, the floor's public directory similarly showed no information about the target company. Following the registered address, the investigators identified Unit 03-06 but observed through the glass door that the office signage read “REGAL PARTNER,” which completely contradicted the registered name “topworldbullion.” Additionally, the office door was locked, and no visible branding, logos, or promotional materials related to the broker were found inside.

Notably, while the investigator could access both the building and the 31st floor, entry into the office itself was restricted. Due to access limitations, the internal environment could not be fully assessed, but visual inspection indicated that the workspace was not open to the public, with no reception desk or staff present. Inquiries made with the building's property management and neighboring office employees all confirmed no knowledge of an entity named “topworldbullion” operating on that floor.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that topworldbullion does not have a physical presence at the above address.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Hong Kong, China to visit forex broker topworldbullion as scheduled, but did not find the company at its regulatory address. It indicates that the broker does not have a physical business office at the place. Accordingly, investors are advised to make a judicious decision following much deliberation.
