A Visit to Premier Equity Futures in Indonesia – Office Found
Indonesia

Reason for this visit

Bank Indonesia (the Central Bank of Indonesia) is mandated to establish and maintain the stability of the Rupiah, while the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (BAPPEBTI), which operates under direct supervision of the Ministry of Finance, regulates all entities operating in Indonesia's financial markets, including forex and CFD brokers. In 2013, the Indonesian government began a strict crackdown on numerous fraudulent brokers targeting Indonesian citizens. This, however, led to many overseas brokers closing their websites in the country. Subsequently, the Indonesian government decided to reopen access to overseas brokers on the condition that they establish local offices and comply with BAPPEBTI guidelines (where applicable). However, these conditions proved to be temporary, and currently Indonesian investors are free to choose any international broker. With a population of nearly 270 million, Indonesia is the world's largest Muslim country. Therefore, all forex brokers in the Indonesian market offer Sharia-compliant Islamic trading accounts. To help investors and practitioners better understand the country's forex brokers, WikiFX survey team conducted on-site visits.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to Indonesia to visit forex broker Premier Equity Futures as planned according to its regulatory address that AXA Tower, 27th Floor, Suite 05, Prof. Dr. Satrio Street Kav. 18 Kuningan, Setiabudi, South Jakarta 12940.

A seasoned and professional inspection team, committed to safeguarding investor interests, conducted a meticulously planned on-site verification of the prominent forex broker Premier Equity Futures at AXA Tower in Kuningan, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

AXA Tower is located in Kuningan, Jakarta's central business district, surrounded primarily by mid-to-high end office buildings. The street environment is ordinary, with no particularly prosperous commercial activity. The building features a modern glass curtain wall structure, with a security booth at the entrance where guards conduct routine registration of people entering and exiting, demonstrating high security management standards.

The inspection team successfully entered the building lobby, which has simple yet well-maintained interior decor. The public directory in the lobby clearly indicates that Premier Equity Futures is located on the 27th floor, completely consistent with the address published on its official website and WikiFX platform, providing preliminary verification of the address authenticity. Additionally, the company's logo is visible in the lobby, though no other prominent branding displays were found.

The inspection team attempted to access the 27th floor via elevator but encountered restricted entry requiring keycard access, with no reception staff available for assistance. Through the glass doors, the office interior appeared in a minimalist style dominated by neutral tones, featuring compact yet orderly workstations - a layout typical of professional financial institutions. Notably, the reception area was designed as an enclosed space, preventing direct photography of interior logos or workspace scenes. Despite multiple attempts to communicate, security personnel denied further entry citing “no admission for non-scheduled visitors” as policy. Building management confirmed that Premier Equity Futures has maintained operations at this location for over three years, effectively eliminating possibilities of shared workspace arrangements or temporary leasing.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the broker has a physical presence at the location.
